Saturday 22nd September 2018: Emma & Calum wedding at Hawkesyard Hall StaffordshirePOSTED: 11/11/2018
Saturday 22nd September we were at the stunning Staffordshire wedding venue of Hawkesyard Hall, to provide the platinum package, all day wedding photography of Emma and Calum. This wedding venue just outside Rugeley is a wedding photographer dream with so many features around its landscaped grounds.
We arrived on the morning of the wedding to provide the bridal preparation photography of Emma and her bridal party. They were all in great spirits as they all had their hair styled by the two hairdressers, and then had their make up applied by the very talented Grace Lawless Make Up Artist.
It was soon time for the arrival of bridegroom Calum so we waited for the vintage Rolls Royce wedding car that had been booked to bring him, his bestman, and his father to the Rugeley wedding venue. We photographed the groomsmen with the amazing car, as well as at various locations around the venue.
It was now time to return to the bridal party as bride Emma was getting into her wedding dress helped by her five bridesmaids. Emma looked stunning in her lace wedding dress, complete with long veil, and carrying a rose bouquet. Her bridesmaids looked beautiful in their pale pink strapless bridesmaids gowns.
It was soon time for Paul from Hawkesyard Hall to start bringing the bridal party up to the ceremony room on the modified golf buggy complete with ribbons attached. The bridesmaids, along with the flower girl arrived first and posed for photographs both inside and outside the venue while they waited for Emma and her father to arrive. Emma arrived on the golf buggy, and the bridal party got themselves into position to enter the ceremony room full of family and friends of the couple.
The bridal party walked down the aisle, followed by Emma, who made her way to the very nervous looking Calum. The marriage ceremony was enjoyed by the wedding congregation, and many of the guests shed a few tears throughout.
With the ceremony over, and the newlywed couple officially announced as husband and wife, the whole congregation made its way out of the venue. Emma and Cal had arranged to go for a champagne ride in the beautiful Rolls Royce before returning for photographs with the congregation.
Upon their return the traditional wedding photography began, before the bride and groom joined their guests for a hand made ice cream from the ice cream bike that had arrived to serve them all.
The guests and the bridal party were soon taken back down to the other side of the wedding venue for the three course wedding breakfast before the traditional speeches. The speeches were filled with emotion and tears, as well as laughter and fun, and even saw groom Calum wearing a Donald Trump mask.
After the speeches everybody enjoyed a drink or two from the bar while we captured more wedding photographs for inclusion into the newlyweds wedding album, this included time alone with Emma and Calum photographing them enjoying their special day together taking romantic wedding portraits of them together.
By now the disco had started and the guests had taken their seats ready for the nights entertainment. The newlywed couple provided a few of their guests with sparklers and we photographed them as they walked in between two rows of sparklers above their heads.
It was now time for Emma and Calum to officially open up the dance floor by performing their first dance together as husband and wife, before everyone started to party hard late into the night.
We would like to wish Emma and Calum all the luck in the world, and a happy long life together.
Below is just a very small selection on their wedding photography.
